Leaky gut, is also known as a increased intestinal permeability. This occurs when the lining of the small intestines get damaged, and undigested proteins and food, toxic waste and bacteria “leak” through the intestinal walls and enter the bloodstream.

The Blood Brain Barrier is a protective barrier around the brain that controls what passes through the brains endothelial lining.
